ANGUILLA Day Trip from ST.MAARTEN/ST.MARTIN
Aboard the Party Cataman “TANGO”
Wednesday 25th April 2012

During the middle of the week of our stay on the island of SINT MAARTEN/SAINT MARTIN, we (almost) all took a day sailng trip on board the “TANGO” Party Cataman.

Initially visiting PRICKY PEAR CAY, which is a part of ANGUILLA and shown on the map above in relation to SINT MARTIN/SAINT MARTIN and then on to the main island of ANGUILLA.

The “TANGO” Party Cataman departed from the Pelican Marina at Simpsons Bay in SINT MAARTEN/SAINT MARTIN and sailed up the west coast of SINT MAARTEN/SAINT MARTIN to Plum Point.

From here the “TANGO” Party Cataman crossed the channel and sailed up the coast of the main island of ANGUILLA to PRICKLY PEAR CAY, which is pure paradise and an ideal setting for great snorkeling for swimmers. Non swimmers can also enjoy the beach and shallow clear waters.

PRICKLY PEAR CAY is completely deserted, except for two little bars/ restaurants for visitors. Nobody actually lives on PRICKLY PEAR CAY and bar/restaurant staff travel over each day to be of service.

After some fantastic snorkelling and superb swimming at PRICKLY PEAR CAY, coming up to lunchtime though, it was time to cruise over to the main island of ANGUILLA and to Road Bay Beacg for lunch at Roy's Bayside Grill.

At Roy's Bayside Grill on the main island of ANGUILLA, there was a buffet choice of chicken, fish or ribs, which was followed by some free time to enjoy beachcombing, swimming and relaxing in the sun.

The long stretch of Road Bay Beach on the main island of ANGUILLA is lined with little beachside bars and guesthouses, and like all the beaches on all the islands of ANGUILLA, the sand is white and the waters are a breathtaking turquoise blue.

The “TANGO” Party Cataman is a large 63 foot/19 metre sail catamaran with 4 fantastic crew members and featured a spacious walk-up bar area with an “open bar” policy, surrounded by plenty of seating in the sunshine and the shade.

As well as large nets up front and plenty of cover in case of rain (which was certainly not the case that day), the "TANGO" Party Catamaran was ideal for the great party and lots of fun that we had onboard that day to ANGUILLA.

St.Maarten/St.Martin, Caribbean

ST.MAARTEN/ST.MARTIN Sojourn
Sunday 22nd April 2012 to Saturday 28th April 2012

Below is a collection of some of the photographs that we have taken so far on and around the island of SINT MAARTEN/SAINT MARTIN, in the CARIBBEAN.

Including a visit to the (world famous) SUNSET BEACH at one end of the main runway at PRINCESS JULIANA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT strategically located in SINT MARTIN, on the southern part and the Dutch side of the island ST.MAARTEN/ST.MARTIN

We are staying in the LA MAISON BLANCHE (a luxurious villa) on CONCHE ROAD just above GUANA BAY in SINT MAARTEN, on the Dutch side of the island.

We were together with 10 other friends, (some of which we had met before and some we are meeting for the first time) including JOSE, JEFF, ROB, TIM, JIM, TORANA, DAN, WAYNE, JUNIOR (Sanchez) and MIKE.

And have been celebrating the 50TH BIRTDHAY of our dear friend JOSE SANTIAGO CUMMINGS who kindly invited us to join him for this occasion on the island of SINT MAARTEN/SAINT MARTIN.

We have already visited several places (including towns and beaches) in SINT MARTIN, on the southern part and the Dutch side of the island.

As well as several places (including beaches and towns), in SAINT MARTIN, on the northern part and the French side of the island also.

Plus we experienced one of the most dramatic and beautiful sunsets on SINT MAARTEN/SAINT MARTIN,seen on the trip so far.
