18th April 2012
The
last full day at sea on the MS VEENDAM
prior to the ship arriving at FT.LAUDERDALE
in the State of FLORIDA in
the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
was the day of the “DESSERT EXTRAVAGANZA”
It was also a day of mixed emotions too, as half of the passengers who had been with us on the MS VEENDAM from the beginning in BUENOS ARIES, Argentina or had joined us in VALPARAISO (for SANTIAGO), Chile were disembarking and continuing on with their holiday for a short while on land or were returning to their respective homes by air.
We had the best Cocktail Maker in the World on hand, as always, in the MIX Cocktail Bar and dinner served this evening by DEWA, was, as always such a delight in the ROTTERDAM Dining Room.

We were though able to enjoy a very lovely evening (at the MIX Cocktail Bar and also in the ROTTERDAM Dining Room) with some of the wonderful friends (especially SONIA and ALEC from Sheffield, England and FIONA and GORDON from Kelowna, Canada) that we had met at various stages of the journey.
It was so nice to have spent some quality time with them, having oodles of fun and enjoying all of their company immensely during the cruise and on various of the tours and side trips that we had all done too.

And after asking for “NOTHING”
for dessert that evening, I did indeed receive absolutely “NOTHING”
for dessert, but all decorated in CHOCOLATE! What a lovely
touch to a wonderful evening of many memories and untold souvenirs.
